Order of the Rose Action Figures v.2 – Katja Lion

Another box design for the upcoming second way of Order of the Rose Action Figures. And it’s another Spetsnaz Sister, aka bad guy!

Katja Lion! Katja was first introduced in the Order of the Rose comic Enter the Deadly Lioness. She is the leader of the Spetnaz Sisters, and the most militaristic and fearsome.

While her sisters spend a great deal of time blending into the crowd in the role of a spy, because of Katja’s scarred face she has instead relegated herself to the battlefield, or to the shadows.

Katja lost her eye and now wears an eyepatch, and Katja’s once stunning beauty and legendary vanity were shattered, along with any humanity she had left. NATO classifies Katja as a borderline sociopath, and with the encounters the Order of the Rose has had with her, there’s nothing “borderline” about Katja!

The one thing Katja holds dear beyond all else is her faith, and Dr. Lightningstrike believes that her epiphany came from the trauma she suffered, and that she is one who steered her sisters into The Defenders of the Faith.

The Spetsnaz Sisters is the NATO codename for this group of this highly trained and deadly efficient siblings soldiers. They call themselves  The Defenders of the Faith, and they look back to the ancient Byzantine empire and the Orthodoxy of the Church. They have no love for the secular Soviet Union, and although their full motives are unclear, they still interact within the apparatus of the Soviet KGB and the military. But they are also soldiers of fortune!

Using their extensive expertise in murder, mayhem, and espionage, the Spetsnaz Sisters lease out their services to the worlds despots, drug kingpins, and power mad elite. In this role they have crossed paths with the Order of the Rose on more than one occasion.
